Hysterectomy for gynecological indication at the General Hospital of Kasenga, in the city of Uviran, in the Province of South-Kivu in the Est of the Democratic Republic of Congo

It took place time from January 25, 2021 to 2022 in obstetrics gynecology departments General Hospital (GH) KASENGA city Uvira province South Kivu East Democratic Republic Congo (DRC). Only patients who underwent for indication were included our found that hysterectomies indications compared all surgical activity was 12.5%. average age 54.2 years. dominated by hysteroceles (44%) uterine myomas (20%). approach vaginal 52% abdominal 48%. total 92% cases radical 8% cases. did not note any major complications except parietal infections which 16% All received postoperative antibiotic prophylaxis.
